    No Blockers organises their first tournament as a club on August 8th, 2026. A total of 14 teams will be admitted to the matches that will take place in Sporthal Fort 8 in Antwerp. Here is all you need to know about the event.

    Why this tournament is special

    Next to the event being our first tournament as a club, we have arranged referees for the matches so that competing teams do not need to provide one. Furthermore, the matches take 25 minutes and teams will get a lot of playtime with the only long break being the lunch break. Sporthal Fort 8 itself is special because it hosts a centre court, where the grand finals will be played on. Preparations are already on the way to organise personalised trophies, generous lunch packages and volunteers. Our volunteers will be working hard to keep track of the administrative side of the tournament, take photos, do interviews and be the referees.

    No Blockers wins 2025/26 Sporta IV league unbeaten

    No Blockers officially wins the 2025/26 Sporta IV league unbeaten. With 62 points, our team claims the championship before Vosco 1 (56 points) and Geel-Zwart Wijnegem (55 points). Time for us to look back at the season.

    From unknown to unbeaten

    Throughout the first round, we got to know all of the other teams, quickly singling out the stronger and weaker opponents. In February then, we lost our second cup match in an epic battle against a strong opponent from a league above us, from which our morale had to recover.

    Nonetheless, we threw everything into our most important matches in the second round of the league. Vosco 1 and Geel-Zwart Wijnegem were our main competitors. The last match against Volmar Ekeren 3 was the last hurdle to winning the championship and after a tough five-setter, we made our dream come true and crowned ourselves champions.

    Nobody knew No Blockers until now. We are proud of our outstanding achievement and the attention and respect we have started to gain. Rest assured that we will celebrate this unique victory accordingly.

    No Blockers next steps in Sporta

    Just because the season is over, doesn’t mean we’re no longer active. We have a myriad of sports and social initiatives planned for our team and No Blockers continues to grow. Follow us on our socials and website to stay up to date about new developments.

    Since we are the champions, that also means that we will advance to Sporta III. Our club and our players are looking forward to this new challenge and we will do our best to make match our expectations and those of our fans. No fears. No limits. No Blockers.

    The first couple of matches are behind us. So far, we have won every league match and every cup match. A good moment to look back – and ahead.

    League matches

    Our first few matches were fun, challenging and experimental. Against some teams, we had the opportunity to try out new rotations, plays and ideas. We were very happy that we won against Geel-Zwaart Wijnegem because they were competing against us for the first place in Sporta IV. Now, only one team is standing in our way and that is Vosco 1. We will play against them on November 21st, so be sure not to miss this match and come to support us!

    For now, we couldn't be happier about our start into competitive volleyball. Everything has been running more or less smoothly and we even started organising friendly matches against teams based in Antwerp. We find those matches to yield the largest learning leap, specifically against organised teams such as Polonia or Sveka Schoten. What's more, after this season, we will assess opportunities to multiply our teams and scope out different league possibilities as well. We are looking forward to this new development step of the club and share all about it in due time.

    Cup matches

    No Blockers has also had its first appearance in the Sporta lower cup (HL). This cup is held between Sporta IIIA, IIIB and IV. In the round of 16, we had a team from Osta Berchem visiting us and scored a quick 3:0 home win against them. This was a surprise for both teams, but we are nonetheless happy to advance to the next round where we will meet Sveka Schoten 2 in the quarter finals. Our goal for the cup is simple: we want to win it.

    Making an impression abroad

    Three years after our first tournament in Delft, we are back on the court surrounded by many other international volleyball teams. Only this time, No Blockers is an official Belgian volleyball club and, proudly, making an impression abroad as the first international volleyball club of Antwerp.

    Recap of the tournament

    The atmosphere is genuinely nice, as always with international teams, and the level is upper intermediate. We have come a long way, so we are performing at our best to make our stay worthwhile. The first phase is the group phase where points and wins are not really counted. We finish with three consecutive wins and three losses. Next comes the quarter final. After three losses, we make a very convincing appearance against a strong Romanian team and advance to the semifinals. There things get a little tricky: we get stuck in a rotation and contrary to what was promised, the match is over after set 1 already.

    Race for third place

    A bit disappointed, we are all the happier to hear that there will be a match for third place. Vincent lifts our spirits by saying ‘You lose the first place to become second, but you can only win the third place.’ After dominating our opponent from the start, we come out third place in this tournament. We are happy but know that there is room for more next time. Our personal highlight of the day is Silvia winning women’s MVP of the tournament, congrats and well deserved!

    Teaser first match No Blockers: come and support us!

    This tournament has been a blessing in disguise. Albeit exhausting, this gave us the opportunity to make our first appearance as the ‘new’ No Blockers. We experimented, played and experienced our team in competitive circumstances before the 2025-2026 season starts back home in Antwerp. 

    We are excited to play in front of our supporters for the first time this Friday, September 12th at 9.15pm in Ter Elststraat 2, 2650 Edegem. You are cordially invited to celebrate this milestone together with us and make our first match legendary!
